Merger Arbitrage

1. NS: On April 9, 2024, Sunoco (SUN) and NuStar Energy (NS) announced the expiration of the waiting period under the HSR Act. NuStar’s special meeting of the shareholders is tentatively scheduled for May 1, 2024.
2. EGLE: The acquisition of Eagle Bulk Shipping (EGLE) by Star Bulk Carriers (SBLK) was completed on April 9, 2024. It took 120 days for this deal to be completed.
3. TAST: On April 9, 2024, Carrols Restaurant Group (TAST) and Restaurant Brands International (QSR) filed their preliminary proxy statement. The merger is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024.
