Scientific Games Corporation (SGMS) announced that it has submitted to the Board of Directors of SciPlay Corporation (SCPL) a proposal for Scientific Games to acquire the remaining 19% equity interest in SciPlay that it does not currently own in an all-stock transaction, following which SciPlay would become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games.

December 22, 2021: A special committee of independent directors of SciPlay Corporation (SCPL), announced discussions between the Special Committee and Scientific Games Corporation (SGMS) regarding Scientific Games’ proposal to acquire the outstanding publicly traded shares of SciPlay have terminated.
October 3, 2022: Engine Capital investor in Light & Wonder (LNW) (formerly known as Scientific Games Corp.) and its subsidiary Sciplay (SCPL) is urging the gaming companies to merge in an effort to improve value for their shareholders.
