Merger Arbitrage
- CVS Health Corporation (CVS) has completed the acquisition of Signify Health (SGFY).
- According to Bloomberg, Broadcom’s (AVGO) proposed takeover of VMware (VMW) will get an in-depth review from the UK’s antitrust agency after the firm did not offer any remedies to allay the body’s competition concerns. The Competition and Markets Authority set on Wednesday a deadline of Sept. 12 to make its decision over whether to block the deal or wave it through.
- Shareholders of Volta (VLTA) approved the company’s merger with Shell (SHEL) at a special meeting of shareholders. The transaction is expected to close on or about March 31, 2023.
