Merger Arbitrage

1. AXTA: Sherwin-Williams and Nippon Paint said they were dropping their efforts to jointly buy AkzoNobel (AKZOF). Nippon Paint and Sherwin-Williams said they had decided to end their pursuit after AkzoNobel rejected two all-cash offers.
2. CCRN: Cross Country Healthcare (CCRN) filed the preliminary proxy statement for its acquisition by Knox Lane. The company expects the merger to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
3. FONR: The acquisition of FONAR Corporation (FONR) by FONAR, LLC and FONAR Acquisition Sub, Inc., controlled by the acquisition group led by CEO Timothy Damadian, was completed on June 3, 2026. It took 156 days for the deal to be completed.
