1. DFS: Reuters reported that banking giant Capital One (COF) and credit card issuer Discover Financial (DFS) have been hit with a lawsuit claiming their proposed $35 billion merger would reduce competition, drive up prices, and should be stopped.
2. PWSC: PowerSchool Holdings, Inc. (PWSC) and Bain Capital filed their preliminary proxy statement. Both PowerSchool and Bain filed their respective notification and report forms under the HSR Act on June 21, 2024, and the waiting period for the same expired on July 22, 2024.
