December 2, 2022: According to a 13D filing, Meritage Group, which owns 5.3% of Coupa (COUP), contacted the software company to express its views on a potential transaction and the price per share that they believe will be in the shareholders ’ best interests.
December 5, 2022: HMI Capital Management, (which owns 4.8% of Coupa (COUP)), stated in a letter to Coupa’s board that it will not support a deal unless it is at the right price and follows a sale process.
December 11, 2022; Thoma Bravo LLC is in advanced talks to acquire Coupa Software (COUP) after outbidding Vista Equity Partners, according to people familiar with the matter.
