According to Reuters, family-owned packaged food giant Mars, whose candy brands include M&M’s and Snickers, is exploring a potential acquisition of Kellanova (K), maker of snacks such as Cheez-It and Pringles.

August 5, 2024: According to CNBC, Hershey (HSY) has been interested in taking a look at a potential acquisition of Kellanova. Other companies that may have an interest in Kellanova (K) include Mondelez International (MDLZ) and PepsiCo (PEP).
August 13, 2024: Reuters reported that family-owned candy giant Mars is nearing a deal to acquire Kellanova (K), for nearly $30 billion. Mars will pay $83.50 per share in an all-cash deal for Kellanova that is set to be announced on Wednesday.
