According to Bloomberg, Global Payments Inc. (GPN) is weighing an acquisition of Shift4 Payments Inc. (FOUR). Atlanta-based Global Payments has been working with an adviser to study the feasibility of a deal for Shift4.

December 14, 2023: According to SeekingAlpha Global Payments (GPN) stated that it is not currently engaged in discussions with Shift4 (FOUR) regarding any transaction, refuting earlier reports that suggested the company was considering the purchase of Shift4.
February 29, 2024: According to Reuters, Fiserv and Amadeus IT Group are competing to acquire Shift4 Payments (FOUR).
February 29, 2024: According to SeekingAlpha Amadeus IT said it isn’t interested in acquiring Shift4 Payments (FOUR).
March 17, 2024: According to Bloomberg, Shift4 Payments (FOUR) Chief Executive Officer Jared Isaacman said in a memo to employees that bids from potential suitors have failed to “sufficiently value” the payments firm.
