According to Bloomberg, Barnes Group (B), which makes components used in military turbine engines among other products, is exploring strategic options including a sale. The Bristol, Connecticut-based company is working with advisers to solicit interest from potential buyers including private equity firms.

October 3, 2024: Reuters reported that private equity firm Apollo Global Management (APO) is in talks to acquire Barnes Group (B). Barnes is negotiating to grant exclusivity to Apollo, which is set to prevail over other buyout firms that were also vying for the company. The deal is likely to value Barnes at more than $45 per share. If the talks are successful, a deal could be signed in the coming weeks.
