March 18, 2022: Macellum Advisors GP, LLC and Ancora Holdings Group, LLC, who beneficially own approximately 4.5% of the outstanding common shares of SpartanNash Company (SPTN) announced their nomination of three highly qualified and independent candidates for election to the Company’s Board of Directors at the 2022 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
April 27, 2022: United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) and Oak Street Real Estate Capital are separately working on bids for U.S. food distributor SpartanNash Co (SPTN), people familiar with the matter said.
May 2, 2022: SpartanNash (SPTN) issues a statement that it has not received any offers to buy the Company, nor has it been approached directly by any strategic or financial buyer to acquire the Company.
