Cybersecurity software maker McAfee Corp. (MCFE) is in advanced talks to go private through a deal with buyout firms Advent International Corp. and Permira, just over a year after it returned to the public markets, according to people familiar with the matter.

November 8, 2021: McAfee Corp. (MCFE), announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an investor group led by Advent International Corporation and Permira Advisers LLC, Crosspoint Capital Partners, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, GIC Private Limited, and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (collectively, “the Investor Group”).
