The parent of the New York Stock Exchange, Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE), entered into a merger agreement on July 30, 2026, to acquire bond trading platform MarketAxess in a deal valued at $5.7 billion to strengthen its fixed-income business.

Intercontinental Exchange, more commonly known as ICE, will acquire all outstanding shares of MarketAxess for $167 per share in cash, representing a premium of 32.82% from the stock’s last closing price.
