
Electro-Sensors, Inc. (ELSE) entered a merger agreement on April 21, 2026, to be acquired by steute Technologies GmbH & Co. KG. in an all-cash deal valued at $8.9 million.
Shareholders of Electro-Sensors will receive $7.75 in cash per share of common stock, representing a premium of 74.94% from the stock’s last close.
Electro-Sensors is a manufacturer of industrial monitoring and control systems, including sensors and hazard monitoring solutions used to track machine performance, temperature, vibration, and safety conditions. It supplies these products to industries such as manufacturing, grain handling, and power generation through direct sales and distributors globally.
steute Technologies is a German manufacturer of switching devices, sensors, and wireless systems for industrial and medical applications. It operates globally through subsidiaries and partners and is owned by Battery Ventures, a private equity and venture capital firm with roughly $13 billion in assets under management.
The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
