InsideArbitrage Is Now An AI Company

  • October 28, 2024

We are very excited to launch InsideArbitrage 2.0 today with AI-enabled features. This is our first major product release since we announced the launch of My Portfolio Plus in August. The statement about InsideArbitrage becoming an AI company was said half in jest given the hype around AI these days. If I truly believed that statement, then the domain would have become IA.AI with its cool palindromic sensibilities.

What we are however excited about is a brand new redesign of our stock quotes page (check it out for Lululemon here) that incorporates some AI features. When you visit the stock quote page on most websites, the initial focus is on the price chart and news.

When I am exploring a new company that I don’t know much about, I want to read the description of the company and better yet get a simple “elevator pitch” that in a few seconds tells me about the company, the management team and if the company is growing organically or through acquisitions.

Towards this end, we are introducing a new tabbed version of our stock quotes page that includes an “AI Chat” feature that lets you ask your own questions to several advanced AI models. An “elevator pitch” automatically loads when you open that tab as you can see for Southwest Airlines (LUV) below.

You can then ask questions about the company or anything else to one of three AI models including ChatGPT 4o, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Gemini 1.5 Flash. We picked these three models after our own testing as well as reviewing third party benchmark results. As new large language models (LLM) models are released, we will upgrade the models in our AI Chat.

Free subscribers of InsideArbitrage can access five elevator pitches and ask five questions per month. InsideArbitrage Plus and Premium members have unlimited access to both elevator pitches and questions. You can also run a question through all three models simultaneously.

Plus and Premium subscribers also get access to our Events tab with a history of management changes at the company, spinoffs (announced and completed), M&A activity and more.

In addition to these AI features we have also introduced a SEC filings tab that gives you easy access to 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, 13D and 13G filings as well as a convenient link with direct access to all other SEC filings related to the company you are interested in. As always, you can use our price chart to overlay all sorts of events including insider buying and selling, spinoffs, acquisitions and management changes as you can see for General Electric (GE) below.

We are currently working on several additional features that we hope to release in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or feedback for us.

Disclaimer: I have long positions in Lululemon (LULU) and General Electric (GE). Please do your own due diligence before buying or selling any securities mentioned in this article. We do not warrant the completeness or accuracy of the content or data provided in this article.
