Merger Arbitrage

1. ESPR: Shareholders of Esperion (ESPR) approved the company’s merger with ARCHIMED at a special meeting of shareholders.
2. CPRX: Shareholders of Catalyst Pharmaceuticals (CPRX) approved the company’s merger with Angelini Pharma at a special meeting of shareholders.
3. WBD: Reuters reported that U.S. states concerned that Paramount’s (PSKY) acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) will hurt competition could sue to block the deal as soon as next week. Paramount has said it will not close its acquisition of Warner Bros before July 22, the Oregon attorney general’s office said, pushing out the timeline for the deal’s closure by an additional week.
