Merger Arbitrage
- NSC: Union Pacific (UNP) and Norfolk Southern (NSC) submitted an amended merger application to the Surface Transportation Board (STB) seeking approval for their merger. The analysis confirms the merger will make rail more competitive with long-haul trucking, taking about 2.1 million trucks off the road.
- NATL: Brink’s (BCO) filed Form S-4 for the acquisition of NCR Atleos (NATL). The companies expect to complete the merger by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
- SLAB: Shareholders of Silicon Labs (SLAB) approved the company’s merger with Texas Instruments (TXN) at a special meeting of shareholders.
