Mediaocean Acquires Innovid for $500 Million in Cash

Mediaocean entered a merger agreement on November 21, 2024, to acquire ad-tech provider Innovid (CTV) in a deal valued at $500 million.

Deal Structure:

As per the agreement, Mediaocean will acquire Innovid for $3.15 per share, representing a premium of 94.44% over the stock’s last close.

Mediaocean owns Flashtalking, an ad server, and creative personalization platform that enhances ad delivery with data-driven creative solutions

Deal Details and Timeline:

Through the deal, expected to close in early 2025, Innovid will merge with Flashtalking to form a premier global, independent, omnichannel ad tech platform.

Mediaocean is acquiring Innovid at 1.54 times its sales.

The combined company will offer a wide range of services, including ad delivery, personalized creative, measurement, and optimization for digital, social, CTV, and traditional TV channels.

Zvika Netter, CEO and Founder of Innovid will lead the merged ad tech company as CEO, reporting to Bill Wise, CEO of Mediaocean. Grant Parker, currently head of Flashtalking, will become President of the new company and report to Netter. Netter will also join Mediaocean’s board.
