Merger Arbitrage

1. NVEI: The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of Nuvei Corporation (NVEI) by Advent International.
2. ALE: The European Commission announced that ALLETE (ALE) filed its notification for its acquisition by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Global Infrastructure Partners on July 15, 2024. The regulator has set August 21, 2024, as the provisional date for the case.
3. SBOW: Crescent Energy (CRGY) and SilverBow Resources (SBOW) announced that SilverBow’s stockholders must decide by July 24, 2024, how they want to receive their compensation in Crescent’s pending acquisition of SilverBow. This deadline is based on their plan to finalize the acquisition on July 30, 2024, pending approval from both companies’ stockholders and other closing conditions.
