Editor’s Note: A few years before Daniel Kahneman’s Thinking, Fast and Slow was released, the imagination of investors was captured by another more accessible book about our behavioral psychology called Predictably Irrational. I enjoyed reading both books but Predictably Irrational in many ways was an easier read.
This week, Paaras Bhardwaj reviews Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely. Paaras is currently based in Frankfurt, Germany where he works at a financial services firm. He studied at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management where he received the Gold medal for his academic performance across the 5 years of his Bachelors and Masters. Paaras enjoys reading, learning, writing, and fitness in his free time. You can often find him listening to podcasts, or an audiobook. Instead of sending him a $100 Amazon gift card, Paaras asked me to make a $100 donation to Mohnish Pabrai’s Dakshana Foundation, which I decided to match with an additional donation from Inside Arbitrage.
