Premium Post: Three New Features and a Merger Arb Situation

Over the last 14 months since the launch of the premium version of Inside Arbitrage we have added numerous features to the site including,

• spread charts to display the history of each deal’s spread from announcement to completion or failure and added key events to the chart
• a sector heat map that highlights an increase in management only insider purchases within a specific sector or industry
• the stock buybacks strategy and an associated screener called the double dipper, which looks for companies that are buying back their stock while their insiders are independently also purchasing company stock

Following our last premium post about the Celgene – BMY merger, I received valuable feedback from a couple of subscribers with ideas for new features and I am happy to announce three new features that will hopefully prove helpful to you.

The first new feature is the ability to download a snapshot of all active deals listed in the Merger Arbitrage Tool (MAT) into Excel by clicking on the Export to Excel button as shown in the screenshot below.

The second new feature is links to the investor relations websites of companies involved in a merger from the deal details section of the MAT. The deal details section can be accessed by clicking on the + sign for a specific deal.
