  • September 19, 2016

Merger activity increased significantly last week with seven new deals announced and seven deals closing.

You can find all the active deals listed below in our Merger Arbitrage Tool that automatically updates itself during market hours.

Deal Statistics:

New Deals:

  1. The acquisition of American Farmland (AFCO) by Farmland Partners for $850 million in an all stock deal. Under the terms of the agreement, each share of AFCO will be converted into the right to receive 0.7417 shares of newly-issued FPI common stock.
  2. Potash (POT) and Agrium (AGU) largest fertilizer producers, agreed to an all-share merger to create the world’s largest crop-nutrient supplier with a market value of about $27 billion. Since this merger will lead to the creation of a new company, we are not going to track it in the deals database.
  3. The acquisition of Raptor Pharmaceutical (RPTP) by Horizon Pharma for $800 million or $9.00 per share in cash.
