- The acquisition of MarkWest Energy Partners (MWE) by MPLX LP (MPLX) for $20 billion in a cash plus stock deal. Under the terms of the agreement, shareholders of MarkWest Energy Partners will receive 1.09 MPLX common units and a one-time cash payment of approximately $3.37 per MarkWest common unit.
- The acquisition of Remy International (REMY) by BorgWarner (BWA) for $1.2 billion or $29.50 per share in cash.
- The acquisition of Books-A-Million (BAMM) by the Anderson Family for $21 million or $3.25 per share in cash.
