- The acquisition of Schawk (SGK) by Matthews International Corporation (MATW) for $577 million in a cash plus stock deal. Under the terms of the agreement, shareholders of Schawk will receive a combination of $11.80 in cash and 0.20582 shares of Matthews common stock.
- The acquisition of Hastings Entertainment (HAST) by an affiliate of Joel Weinshanker for $21.4 million or $3.00 per share in cash.
- The acquisition of Giant Interactive Group (GA) in a “going private” transaction for $3 billion or $12.00 per share in cash.
