Dream Finders Homes, Inc. (DFH) entered into a merger agreement on August 7, 2026, to acquire its peer, Beazer Homes, in a deal valued at $2.2 billion, as it scales up to become the sixth-largest U.S. homebuilder amid a challenging housing market.

Founded in 2008, Dream Finders is a relatively young homebuilder that has grown quickly, largely through acquisitions of smaller regional builders. The company now operates in 23 markets across 10 states and has closed more than 44,000 homes since its founding. The Beazer deal continues that growth strategy on a much larger scale.
