Merger Arbitrage

1. MKTX: The acquisition of MarketAxess Holdings Inc. (MKTX) by Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) for a closing value of $5.7 billion. Intercontinental Exchange will acquire all outstanding shares of MarketAxess for $167 per share in cash, representing a premium of 32.82% from the stock’s last close. (Press Release)
2. NWE: NorthWestern Energy (NWE) announced that in April 2026, the waiting period under the HSR Act expired. In May 2026, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Nebraska Public Service Commission (NPSC) each approved the merger.
3. AVB: AvalonBay Communities (AVB) and Equity Residential (EQR) announced Vivmark Residential as the name for the combined company to be created through their merger of equals. Vivmark Residential expects to use VMRK as its New York Stock Exchange ticker symbol.
