Merger Arbitrage

1. WSR: The acquisition of Whitestone REIT (WSR) by Ares Real Estate Funds (ARES) for a closing value of $1.7 billion. Ares will acquire all outstanding Whitestone common shares and operating partnership units for $19 per share or unit in an all-cash transaction, representing a premium of 12.16% from the stock’s last close. In November last year, MCB Real Estate offered to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Whitestone REIT for $15.2 per share in cash. (Press Release)
2. UDMY: Shareholders of Udemy (UDMY) approved the company’s merger with Coursera (COUR) at a special meeting of shareholders.
3. SEE: The acquisition of Sealed Air (SEE) by Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) was completed on April 9, 2026. It took 143 days for the deal to be completed.
