- MRC: MRC Global (MRC) announced that the statutory waiting period under the HSR Act expired on October 6, 2025.
- K: Reuters reported that Mars’ bid to acquire Kellanova (K) is set to clear a major hurdle by winning unconditional European Union antitrust approval. The European Commission has subsequently found insufficient legal grounds to demand concessions.
- SPR: Reuters reported that Boeing (BA) is set to gain EU antitrust approval for its acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems (SPR), with remedies to address EU concerns expected to include sales of some of the latter’s businesses. Boeing’s remedies to address EU competition worries are expected to be those the companies announced at the time of the acquisition agreement.
