- The acquisition of Medicis Pharmaceutical (MRX) by Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (VRX) for $2.6 billion or $44 per share in cash.
- The acquisition of American Realty Capital Trust (ARCT) by Realty Income (O) in an all stock transaction. Under the deal, Realty Income will pay out 0.2874 of its shares for every American Realty share.
